Residential Standard Agency
The 2011 General Assembly passed the HB 1907. HB 1907 amends significantly Virginia Residential Agency Law (Section 54.1-2130, et. seq. of the Code of Virginia), and its provisions go into effect on July 1, 2012.
Because of this significant change, all licensees who renew an active salesperson or broker license or who activate an inactive salesperson or broker license from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2014, must complete the three-hour Residential Standard Agency (RSA) course.
Salespersons and brokers whose license expires BEFORE July 1, 2012, will not get credit for taking the RSA course if they complete this course before July 1, 2012. Salespersons and brokers whose license expires AFTER July 1, 2012, will get credit for taking the RSA course if they complete this course before or after July 1, 2012.
