Community Services

- Mission: Members of the Community Services committee develop programs and
organize resources to involve members in public service projects. The
committee also preserves housing through revitalization/restoration of
existing neighborhoods. Volunteers are assigned to projects of their
choice.

Education

- Mission: To provide a variety of education and training
opportunities in all types of forums in order to increase the knowledge
and professionalism of the members.
- Members of the Education committee provide input into the
educational calendar for the Prince William Association of REALTORS®
Real Estate School, plan quarterly educational seminars and one or two
motivational/how to seminars by top name speakers, and direct New
Member Orientation and Proprietary School courses.

- Mission: Responsible for review of Association overall policy
and procedures including bylaws and making recommended changes to the
BOD. The committee is not responsible for specific subject topic covered
by existing committees or task forces.

Government & Political Affairs

- Mission: Members of the Governmental and Political Affairs committee promote
interest of real property via recommendations to legislative and
regulating bodies. Committee members monitor legislative
activity, liaison w/local and state officials, encourage registration
and voting in elections, plan and promote Candidate’s Night and
REALTOR® Day on the Hill, and recommend support of issues and
candidates.

- Mission: The Grievance committee Investigates alleged violations of Association
Bylaws and the NAR Code of Ethics and reviews requests for arbitration.

Professional Standards & Arbitration

- Mission: This committee hears and decides complaints against PWAR members
involving violations of NAR's Code of Ethics. Members also hear
and decide arbitral contract disputes.

- Mission: RPAC committee members develop and oversee RPAC fund raising
campaigns, disseminate information and recommend support of issues
and candidates.

Million Dollar Club / Awards

Mission: The Million Dollar Club and Awards task force recommends criteria and
procedures, and recommends special awards recipients. This steering
group of club members manages the Million Dollar Club and enforces the
attendance policy of no more than three absences.

- Housing Opportunities Task Force
- Mission: The Housing Opportunities Task Force
is charged with identifying statistics and factors impacting housing
affordability in this region; developing educational opportunities to
highlight existing housing assistance programs available to the
homebuying public; and develop new programs towards targeted segments
(fireman/teachers/police).

Habitat for
Humanity Task Force
Mission:
To
create a sustainable and continuing philanthropic
project that will build goodwill in our community.
Affordable housing is one of the biggest concerns among
REALTORS®, the Prince William County Government, and the
citizens in our community. Since PWAR is a dominant
center of influence in Prince William County and
surrounding areas, it is our obligation to be part of
the solution to a problem that affects us all.
