How do I log-in to the PWAR website?
Your member ID is your real estate license number and your password are the digits in your home address. You have the ability to change both of these requirements once you log-in.
I'm thinking of putting my license on inactive. Can I pay dues now and receive a refund when I've made up my mind?
Dues are non-refundable.
Can I get a bill mailed to me?
PWAR is environmentally friendly and does not mail dues bills. All dues billing is done online.
Do I have to pay RPAC?
No. RPAC is a voluntary contribution.
How do I renew online?

Can I pay my dues in installments?
PWAR collects the dues fees for local, state and national associations and is responsible for dispersing the monies to the proper organizations by a certain date. For this reason we require payment in full.
Can I set up an auto-debit for my dues payments?
For security purposes PWAR will not keep member credit card information on file.
I didn't know dues were due. Can you waive the late fee?
No. In addition to sending several reminder emails notices are posted on our website, sent to your Broker, and information is throughout the PWAR office.
How much are PWAR membership dues?
Membership dues are set by the Board of Directors each year. Dues are prorated quarterly, may include a one-time application fee, and are renewable each year in January. Dues notices will go out on November 1 of each year.
Do I have to pay NAR and VAR dues?
Yes. When you join PWAR you will also pay dues to the National and State Associations.
What do I get for my dues?
Exclusive Use of the term REALTOR® – The term REALTOR® is a registered trademark that can only be used by members of the National Association of REALTORS®.
Professional Development – PWAR’s Real Estate School is dedicated to meeting the needs of our members by providing tools to succeed in a challenging and competitive market place. PWAR is your partner offering you classes, seminars, work groups and the competitive advantage in working with our professional Affiliate partners in specialty areas such as; appraisals, property management, and commercial development.
MRIS & Sentrilock – PWAR members also enjoy MRIS and Sentrilock privileges. With a PWAR membership, you can access these services, which have proven themselves to be priceless resources in the Northern Virginia real estate industry.
Advocacy: Protecting Your Business – PWAR employs a Government Affairs Director, who is able to voice the opinions of PWAR’s members. In addition to having a viable voice in Virginia’s real estate policy making, it also enables PWAR to forecast and inform its members of changes in that policy.
Arbitration, Mediation, Ethics, and Professional Standards – PWAR promotes ethical business practices with a forum for complaints and recourse for satisfaction, if justified. This service saves members thousands of dollars in legal costs arbitrating business disputes. In the minds of the consumers, abiding by a Code of Ethics is a prominent reason for using the services of a REALTOR® instead of a Real Estate salesperson.
Online Services – PWAR’s website is loaded with information on events and other Association news as well as the many services provided by PWAR, with a Members Only section. PWAR also maintains a presence at popular social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Member Support – PWAR staff are available from 9am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, to answer questions, conduct research, and generally assist members in a variety of ways. These professional individuals are also available on call to present items of interest to members through sales meetings and other events.
Recognition – Each year, PWAR recognizes professionals who have given exceptional service, and also recognizes those members who have reached exceptional production levels at the REALTOR Banquet.
Store – PWAR’s store stocks products used by REALTORS® such as lockboxes, directional signs, sign posts, etc.
Member Communications – A weekly e-newsletter is sent to keep members up-to-date with happenings in the local real estate market, and with PWAR activities and educational classes.

How do I register for a class or event online?
First, log-in at the top of www.pwar.com using your PWAR credentials. Next, scroll through the Member Services Menu to find Event/Class Registration and select either Events or Professional Development (classes). Then, scroll through the list and click on the title of the class or event and proceed through registration prompts.

How long will it take for my credits to be reported to DPOR?
PWAR will report your credits to DPOR within seven (7) days. Your credits should be visible on the DPOR website within two weeks.
What is the difference between CE and PLE credits?
PLE credits are for anyone within their first 2 years of renewal. CE is for any agent that has had their license more than 2 years.

Yes. REALTORS® and Designated REALTORS® may choose to belong to PWAR as secondary members to access member benefits like our education programs, events, and discounts. Depending on their membership status, they may pay local dues only. A letter of good standing from the REALTORS® primary Association is required.

If Prince William County Schools are closed, PWAR will cancel its scheduled classes. If Prince William County Schools are delayed, PWAR will cancel its morning classes.
