More than 30 members of the REALTOR® Association of Prince William visited with their elected officials on our annual trip to Richmond. The group was the largest to attend since before the COVID-19 outbreak.

The group had the chance to meet directly with almost the entire delegation, the only exceptions were s Senator Danica Roem and Delegate Ian Lovejoy who were both involved in committee hearings, but REALTORS® met with the rest of the Prince William Delegation including, Delegate Briana Sewell, Delegate Josh Thomas, Delegate Candi Mundon King, Delegate Michelle Lopes Maldonado, Delegate Luke E. Torian.  Senator Jennifer D. Carroll Foy, Senator Jeremy S. McPike,

The time of our visit coincided with the approach of “Crossover Day.” All bills that originated in the House of Delegates must be passed before being sent to the Virginia Senate for consideration. All the Senate passed bills must be sent to the House of Delegates for consideration. It was an extremely busy day for all the elected officials, and we appreciate the time that PWAR was able to get with each of the members.

Big thank you must be sent not only to our elected officials but to the staff at Virginia REALTORS®. They expertly guided our day to ensure maximum exposure to elected officials. Thank you to Mary Lawson, D.J. Spiker, Erin Kormann, Maura Pratt, and Martin Johnson.

For next year we hope to increase the number of REALTORS® who will visit Richmond as part of REALTOR® Day on the Hill.
