Donald Dean Ratterree, Sr. “Don Sr.”, tragically passed away Saturday, November 5th, 2022 at his Fredericksburg home with his wife and son by his side.

Don Sr. was born on January 29th, 1943 in Mountain Grove, Missouri to Levi Ratterree and Doris Ratterree who preceded him in death.He grew up in a large family with 1 older brother, Junior Ratterree and two younger brothers- Thomas and Terry Ratterree . He graduated from Cabool High School and served his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1960 – 1966.

Don Sr. made a lasting impression on the Real Estate community where he has been serving the needs of many for over 50 years. He built a solid reputation of being known as an honest and reputable real estate professional and his expertise and devotion to the Virginia Real Estate community will leave a lasting effect for years to come.

In his spare time, Don enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, and praising the lord. With a commitment to service and helping others, he found joy in giving back to the homeless and to those that needed help the most. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, word, or prayer to anyone in need. He knew that life had challenges, he had compassion on those that found themselves in difficult situations. His goal was to always make them feel like there was hope, and that homeownership was within their reach- no matter what. He kept his family, community, and clients’ best interest at the center of every decision he made.

He is survived by his wife Midge Ratterree, and their 4 children, Don Jr. Ratterree (wife Amanda), Berna Petry (husband Billy), Sherry Daminski, and Craig Ratterree (wife Alicia).. He also is survived by his 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren whom he loved and cared for dearly.

His family is sincerely grateful to those that have provided prayers and words of comfort during this time of loss.

A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022 at Covenant Funeral Home from 6 – 8 pm , Funeral Services to be held Thursday November 17th, 2022 at Covenant Funeral Home Stafford VA beginning at 10:30am for all his family and friends. The funeral will be followed by a private burial service at Quantico National Cemetery
