Koula Hainzer, a cherished wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on February 15th, surrounded by her loving family. Born to the late George and Irene Katradis, Koula’s life was a testament to her boldness for life, passion to serve others, and unwavering faith in Christ.

Koula was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Irene. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her husband and best friend, Eric Hainzer, who stood by her through every joy and challenge life presented. She was the proud mother of Steven Hainzer (Eva) and Joseph Hainzer (Kristen), and a doting Yia-Yia to Benjamin and Adeline all who will carry forward her spirit of kindness and generosity.

Koula was also the loving sister of Nicholas Katradis (Alisa), and adored aunt to their two children George and Katie.

A faithful Christian and devoted member of Heritage Baptist Church, Koula’s faith guided her through life’s trials and triumphs. As a local teacher, she inspired many young minds, instilling in them a love for learning and a sense of curiosity. Her encouraging spirit and unwavering belief in the goodness of people left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Koula’s life was a reflection of her values—love, faith, and family. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the countless lives she touched.

A memorial service will be held at Heritage Baptist Church, 14510 Spriggs Rd. Woodbridge, VA 22193 on February 27th where friends and family are invited to come together and celebrate Koula’s remarkable life. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am followed by a service at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA 22172. Services are entrusted to Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home of Dale City, VA.

Koula Hainzer will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
