In Memory of Lingiam “Lee” Odems Jr.

Feb 7, 2020

In Memory of Lingiam “Lee” Odems Jr.

Lingiam Odems, Jr., 67, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones. Lingiam is preceded in death by his parents Lingiam Odems, Sr. and Essie Jewel Odems (nee Mosley). He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 32 years Michele Odems; his children Nichole Adkins (David), Christy Overton (Joseph), Nathan Odems, Tyler Odems, and Marjorie Ricks (Joseph); His grandchildren Mickey, Bryson, Kyle, Brooke, Brady, Mailaya, Christian, and Kaliyah; His sisters Gwenevere Odems and Gail Farris; his step-mother Connie Odems; his best friend for life Robin Odems, and many nieces and nephews.  Lingiam also had many friends who formed such close relationships that they considered him a brother.

Lingiam “Lee” was the Vice Chairman of the Virginia Real Estate Board and the former President of the Prince William Association. He was a well-respected Real Estate Broker and an Explainer Extraordinaire who dedicated his time to educate and serve the Real Estate industry.

He loved to coach people and help them become the best version of themselves.  His family has been overwhelmed with the stories from hundreds of people whose lives he has impacted.

As Lingiam planned for retirement, he intended to begin volunteering his time to the important work on prison and justice reform.  In lieu of flowers his family suggests making a contribution to the Equal Justice Initiative (www.eji.org)

Arrangements are under the direction of Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home and he will be honored in a celebration of life party on February 22nd from 4PM-7PM at 4545 Daisy Reid Ave (Prayers and Toasts to begin at 5PM).
