
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY JANUARY 2022 MARKET STATISTICS
WOODBRIDGE, VA. March 7, 2022—REALTOR® Association of Prince William (PWAR) has gathered Prince William County’s most recent market statistics, generated by Virginia REALTORS® Chief Economist, Lisa Sturtevant, and SmartCharts, an affiliate website of Showing Time. The market statistics are gathered through data provided by VAR and Bright MLS, which serves as the multiple listing service for Prince William County.
A total of 454 homes were sold in January 2022, a decrease of 20.4 percent compared to January 2021 at 570. The number of pending sales also saw a decrease of 21.8 percent year-over-year, from 634 to 496. New listings showed a decreased percentage year-over-year, with 552 new listings, as opposed to 683 in January 2021. PWAR had fewer active listings available last month with 204 active listings in January 2022, compared to 246 in 2021; a difference of 17.1 percent. The median sold price of homes saw an increase of 10.6 percent to $450,000 as compared to $407,000 last year. The average days on the market increased to 19 in January 2022, as opposed to 13 in 2021.
