WOODBRIDGE, VA. April 11, 2019—REALTOR® Association of Prince William (PWAR) has gathered Prince William County’s most recent market statistics, generated by SmartCharts, an affiliate website of Real Estate Business Intelligence (RBI). The market statistics are gathered through data provided by the Bright MLS, which serves as the multiple listing service for Prince William County.

A total of 566 homes were sold in March 2019, an increase of 1.8 percent compared to March 2018 closed sales. The number of new pendings began to decrease by 1.1 percent year-over-year, from 857 pending to 848.  New listings saw a decrease, as well, of 4.6 percent year-over-year, from 1,078 new listings to 1,029. There were less active listings available this year with 822 active listings in March 2019, compared to 902 in 2018. The median sold price of homes continued to strengthen in March, increasing 1.1 percent to $365,000 as compared to last year ($361,250).
